This new book is more professionally done than his previous book, but many of the recipies are duplicates from the original book. The secret shows its devastation, is revealed and the reader is left wondered what would have happened if Clarissa had just told the truth? There are a number of unanswered questions in this novel that just make it more appealing.. I would not give this book to a kid younger than 1st or 2nd grade mostly because the pages include sentences to read (instructions, facts, etc.) Also quite a few pages expect the artist to draw without necessarily giving any examples of what to draw which may mean looking some stuff up if you care about it being accurate and/or are using this book as a part of homeschooling curriculum. There are many reasons for its predominance. While Christopher Hart has hired some talented artists to draw this book for him, most of them look like they have drawn in the style of american comics all their lives.
