The plates of his paintings and of this room are magnificent.. Lunde does not accurately state what these mistakes were. This is an easy read with some great black and white photos included.. I have a copy of the 1921 Blue Ribbon "popular' edition (possibly an undated later reprinting) of "Across Mongolian Plains," and will not contribute to the debate on the quality of the paperback edition (see the two earlier reviews). This is like a color theory book published with only three out of the four colors necessary for full color.
I paid a premium for the latest edition, the 13th. Of course, those who pass it by will be missing some first-class storytelling.
