Every day of Ann Cunningham Bow's life in her cozy apartment in Boulder, Colorado, with her cat is a "moving" day, full of her observations of the wonders and changes around her. Writer, civic volunteer, mother, widow, and friend to a spectrum of individuals whom she regularly corresponds with, Ann infuses her world with spirituality, common sense, and humor. Pressured by family to move into an assisted care community, as most of her good friends have already done, this active lady holds her own and draws the reader into a world of music, reflection, and good causes. Join her and her neighbor for tea as they watch snow fall on the Rockies. Join her in a winter season of letters, and come away with a new appreciation for the poignant, moving, everyday moments of a modern older woman's life.
Elizabeth (Ibby) Taylor Greer is a native of Springfield, Illinois. Educated at Blessed Sacrament School in Springfield, Florida's Gulfstream School and Palm Beach Day School, she is a graduate of The Westover School in Middlebury, Connecticut, holds a B.A. with Honors and Phi Beta Kappa from Hollins College in Virginia, an M.A. in Comparative Literature (18th Century French, German, and English novel) from the University of Colorado, and studied German at the University of Vienna in 1976. Living near the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia in an ante-bellum home and married to retired lawyer T. Keister Greer, she divides her time between being a mom to a college son, writing, serving on civic boards, and oil painting in her studio. She is at work on a collection of "babyboom" poems, a second novel, and a one-woman show of her art.
Probably, it should not be labeled a textbook.
More so, than not, it is an interesting rendering of advanced material from Francis Low's perspective.
The book is different enough from the usual texts, so as to bring something new to the table.
By all means, the prerequisites should be firmly in hand--second nature, even. In the Civil War “he brought hundreds of thousands into the JSU [Communist Youth]” And, of the JSU, his creation, “it’s importance in every aspect of the war effort can scarcely be exaggerated”. Here, the alien passing herself off as a prostitute needs men - but *they're* the ones who become pregnant. This was awesome Took you to a place and felt like you were part of the family and Hephzibah was Fierce. Capital: In Manga! is a fantastically written and illustrated book, meant to act as a bridge to Karl Marx's original work, Das Kapital.
I feel that it succeeds brilliantly.
A joy to read, Capital In Manga effortle
